FMB Methods of Contact

• FMB will never text you directly.
• You may receive texts from online banking regarding alerts you set up.
      The alerts are similar to the email alerts and are configured in the same area.
      The text numbers will vary because they come form your email alert settings. See SMiShing info.
      The texts will never compel you to call a number or to supply additional personal information.
      See sample texts below.
  

• FMB will never ask you to enter or give account information to an automated phone system outside of telephone banking.
• You should always be suspicious of requests for personal banking information.

• FMB does only has robo/automated calling related to Debit card transactions.
  The calls originate from 866.508.2693 and at times, will be live operators.
  What are those calls like?
      The operator will ask for the cardholder.
      They will verify the address on file.
      The operator will identify as Shazam calling for Farmers and Merchants Bank regarding card activity
      They will give you a case number and ask you to call the bank.
      They will answer questions you may have but will not ask for a card number or any other personal information.

• FMB may email you from your online banking product, but the email will not include links to websites. You may configure email alerts.
      When in doubt call us.
      The emails may include phone numbers to call which will most likely be an 800 number or a published number.
      The email will never ask you to reply.
      The email will never have an attachment.
      The email will only include a link to unsubscribe such as:
